If your Solid Edge was installed with metric templates and you wish to have your default templates set to imperial, you can easily switch this on the New screen. To do this, first click on the Edit List… link.

Notice that the metric templates are listed in the Templates window in the Template List Creation dialog.

Next, select the imperial (ANSI inch) templates from the list of Standard Templates. Notice that the ANSI inch templates are placed in the Templates window in the dialog.

Click OK on the dialog and notice that the New screen has been updated to the ANSI inch templates.

You can use this method to change your default templates to any of the templates listed in the Standard Templates list in the Template List Creation dialog.
