Solid Edge Simulation
Description:
The course's objective is to give a complete and detailed tool set for Edgers starting to use the Simulation module. First, we teach how to prepare models for different types of finite element analysis and conditions. We also cover boundary conditions set-up for static linear stress, normal vibratory modes, buckling and steady state heat transfer. The course then touches on best practices and tools for verifying the data, correcting errors and testing scenarios. Finally, students will be exposed to all the post-processing capabilities inside Solid Edge.
Duration: 2 Days

Solid Edge Electrical
Description:
This course is designed to teach students how to utilize the Solid Edge Electrical package to create and manage Parts libraries and Symbol libraries. They will also have learned:
• how to create and manage individual components, symbols, and borders.
• how to create and manage individual segments of a wire design schematic, test the validity of the wire design, generate reports, and bridge out electrical data to Solid Edge.
• how to create and manage individual segments of a harness design layout, manipulate and dimension the harness design, and synchronize the harness design.
This course is designed to introduce users to the complete Solid Edge Electrical package.
Duration: 5 days

Solid Edge Harness Design
Description:
This course is designed to teach students how to utilize the Solid Edge Harness Design package to create and manage routing designs. They will also have learned how to create and manage individual segments of a routing design layout, manipulate and dimension the routing design, and synchronize the routing design. This course is designed for individuals who will be responsible for 2D routing design creation.
Trainers Note:
This course is a standalone 2-day course, but the topics are also taught in the 5-day Solid Edge Electrical course. The Solid Edge Electrical combines the Solid Edge Electrical Admin course, Wire Design course, and Routing design course. Taking the Solid Edge Electrical 5-day course saves students 1 day of training, if the need all three courses.
Duration: 2 Days

NX Fundamentals
Description:
At the completion of Essentials for NX Designers the student will productively develop solid models, detail drawings and product assemblies. The class introduces assembly modeling in the context of a real-life scenario that includes parts modeled by the student as well as part models that have already been created. This reinforces the student's understanding of the flexibility of the solid modeling and assembly tool as it can be applied in the real world of product development collaboration. As with each course developed and taught by Siemens PLM Software professionals, the Essentials for NX Designers class capitalizes on Siemens PLM Software's intimate knowledge of the software's development and instructs the students based on the underlying principles incorporated within the NX software.

Enhance your skills with our NEW self paced Solid Edge and NX online training courses.
Learn how to utilize Solid Edge to design production level parametric (ordered) models of parts, synchronous models of parts, assemblies, detail drawings. Become familiar with the Solid Edge user interface, adding features, sketching tools and various modeling techniques. Learn how to utilize Solid Edge Sheet Metal to design production level parametric (ordered) models of sheet metal parts, and synchronous models of sheet metal parts.
Learn MoreThis course is designed to teach synchronous modeling to existing users of Solid Edge’s ordered or traditional modeling. Learn how to construct and edit models in the synchronous paradigm. Also learn how to use integrated models (synchronous and ordered features together in the same part model). This course includes Synchronous Sheet Metal. We offer Synchronous Technology solo.
Learn MoreStudents will have learned how to utilize Solid Edge to design production level parametric (ordered) models of parts, synchronous models of parts, assemblies, detail drawings. They will also be familiar with the Solid Edge user interface, adding features, sketching tools and various modeling techniques. This course does not cover sheet metal modeling.
Learn MoreKnowledge and skills development are vital to the health of an organization. Among biggest measurable categories of training return on investment are:
• Productivity and performance gains
• Cost reduction
• Reduced downtime
• Eliminate product failures
• Less-frequent help desk calls
• Improved customer service
• Compliance
• Increased employee morale and retention
For every dollar spent on training, there is an estimated $30 gain in productivity, according to studies conducted by Motorola.
